Organisations
There are many other societies which have been set up to make untrained hypnotherapists appear credible & legitimate. They are often set up by hypnotherapy training schools so that the people they train can say "I am accredited by the such-and-such society". Only the societies listed below restrict their membership to properly trained professionals who use hypnosis.
- International: The worldwide organisation for hypnosis is called the International Society of Hypnosis
- United States: The USA has two societies, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis
- Europe: Europe has the European Society of Hypnosis
- United Kingdom: The UK has the British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis
- Australia: Australia has the Australian Society of Hypnosis
